A Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Teacher, Mentor, and Friend

A big thanks to the VVC and FF Cobra communities. Robert's family and friends all appreciate the outpouring of support.

It is with much sadness and deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Robert Feddersen. Robert passed from this life into the next at around 3:00p.m. on June 12th, 2008. Robert was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, teacher, mentor, and friend. He is survived by his wife Jill, and his 2 boys: Liam (8), and Alex (1 1/2). He passed away without pain and we are pretty sure no knowledge of his accident. We would like to thank all that have extended their support to the Feddersen family during this whole ordeal.

We will have further announcements regarding services and other ways to express your condolences posted on this blog in the near future.

My heart goes out to the Fedderson family; he was very much a mentor to myself during my time at VVC as a student. I will not forget that which he left his impression on me; I thank Shane Thomas and Paul Tonning for keeping us up to date on this situation.

Cheers,

Mr. Murphy

What a tragedy!!!!!!!!!!! Robert you are in a better place now…………… but this world lost one of its stars!!!!!!!!! Back in the VICA days I needed help and all I had to do was ask then turn my back and know it would get done, and it always was. Robert touched and enriched thousands of lives at VVVC and beyond. My friend you will be missed!!!!!!!! John Sweet

Robert, I have known you since High School and even then I could see what a special person you were. Though it has been a few years since I saw you, I still remember your special friendship. You always had a smile on your face and cheered me up when I had a bad day. I know you are in a much better place now and I pray for God's peace and comfort for your family in this difficult time. I was very blessed to know you and have you as part of my life. I will miss you and may God Bless your family.

I am very sorry to hear of Robert's passing. This was a very sudden thing, and his family can now begin the grieving process. Although I graduated with Robert, I didn't know him that well. It's still a hard thing to overcome. My deepest sympathy to family.

My deepest sympathies to the family.

Robert will truly be missed by all. He was an inspiration to many here at VVC. A kind, compassionate, and warm-hearted young man always willing to help others. He had a smile that could melt an iceberg and you could not help smiling back.

Robert has fallen asleep with our Lord and I for one will miss him terribly. But I know he is in a better place. Our prayers are with all who were touched by this wonderful, loving blessing from God above. May his memory be eternally in our hearts.

Love & Prayers in Christ,

Mary Martin and Family

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the Family and closest friends. Robert was such a great guy! He was such a gentleman and was always willing to share his knowledge with you. Robert was one of the first people I met here at Victor Valley College seven years ago. He was working in IT at that time and set up my computer for me. When he became a teacher, he moved into the Academic Commons, where I work. I will miss the chats we had.

I was very sad to read the news today in the newspaper. He was my teacher a few years back and made an impression on me. I remember him talking about his family fondly, and also his love for the cobra.
My heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends. It is such a loss.

It was very sad to hear about Robert’s ordeal and passing. My condolences go out to his family.
It is kind of hard to come up with words in time like this, especially since so many years have passed since we’ve been in touch.
I grew up with him in Hesperia and we became acquaintances in jr. high and friends in high school. We had many mutual friends so there were get togethers, beach parties, shared classes, school stuff and prom all stuck in my memory. He was always nice, funny, respectful and an all around great guy. We went to prom together with our friends and I had to move shortly after back east. I always heard from everyone else how he was doing and saw him briefly at the 10 year reunion. I thought it was great he went into teaching and heard he found a wonderful wife and begun to start a family. I just recently had a son this year and it pains me very much that his sons won’t have the ‘complete picture’ of their dad. However, I have every confidence that he imparted some of his great qualities, if not role modeling for them how to be a nice and caring man. If I have some items or pictures somewhere in my memory boxes, I’d love to send them onto for his boys sometime in the future to learn about their dad as a ‘kid.’ I know many of our friends may have some pictures too.
Again, I am so very sorry to hear of this and wish every comfort to his wife, sons and family in this time of loss.
